ORPHÉON, a brand new fragrance whose name is tightly connected to the history of the brand. The new perfume is called Orphéon, after the eponymous night bar, at the time located near the Diptyque boutique at 34 Saint-Germain Boulevard where the three founders of Diptyque (Yves Coueslant, Christiane Gautrot and Desmond Knox-Leet) spent several times a week coming up with creative ideas for their brand.

The illustration on the bottle represents a reinterpretation of the Diptyque pattern by Desmond Knox-Leet designed by Gianpaolo Pagni. Diptyque and Gianpaolo Pagni reworked the original pattern to express not only the eclectic, festive atmosphere of Orphéon, the bar in which the three founders spent a lot of time, but also the encounters that were in the spirit of the times and formed the beginning of the entire Diptyque adventure.

Orpheon is a fresh, floral, woody and sensual olfactory dream. There's cedar, vetiver and patchouli dominant. It's reminiscent of tobacco smoke, traces of powder blush, and the polished wood of the bar that inspired this creation. Notes of invigorating juniper berries and light jasmine in opening, the composition develops into a deep and warm mixture of cedar and tonka bean in the heart.
